Serbia - Little war museum paradise Belgrade
> Not so long ago Serbia was in a war and nowadays it is still in some dispute with Kosovo. But that's their business and I'm not here to dig in that history. As I had a cheap flight, I'm simply here as a tourist to see the Belgrade city :)
Convenient visit in the city center
It was convenient to have a hotel close to the train station and close to the city center. From the hotel I only had to walk "upstairs" maybe 200 meters and the center was there with its shopping and restaurant street. The buildings are mostly old and look run down, and I cannot say that it's a beautiful city compared to other places.Belgrade walking street, the republic square, is a little up to the "hill". |

The river "save". Its a nice walk over the bridge and then towards Novi Beograd. |
View on Belgrade old town. The tower on the left is the cathedral. |
Long walking along the river "save". |
Many restaurant boats along the shore. |
Its a bit a long walk from the old town and along the river, until finally reaching this building. Called the Millenary Monument. |
View from the hill where the Millenary Monument stands. |
Back to the old town in Belgrade. This is the entrance to The Belgrade Fortress, the most visited tourist attraction in Belgrade. |
With lots of old cannons and war stuff from different wars. |
The small tanks look nice. Perfect size to have one back home beside the house :) |
